What year did the Mariners break the 1927 Yankees MLB record for most runs scored in a season?
The most runs the Mariners scored in a single season was 993 done in 1996. But the 1927 Yankees didn't hold the record for most runs scored in a season, as a matter of fact the 1927 Yankees don't even hold the franchise record for runs scored in a season, that honor goes to the 1931 team who scored 1,067 runs. The Yankees scored 1,065 runs in the 1936 season, 1,062 runs in the 1930 season and 1,002 runs in the 1932 season, all better than the 993 runs the Mariners scored in the 1996 season. The 1927 Yankees are 6th in franchise history for runs scored in a single season since the 1937 team scored 979 runs.
