Does everyone dislike the mariners?

I'm not a baseball fan at all, but I live in Washington, and I was wondering if it's just Washingtonians that make fun of them? I mean, we sorta rag on them ALL the time. You don't even know. I mean, I don't. Mainly cuz I don't really know anything about baseball. But people on the radio, friends, my dad. It's kinda funny, but kinda sad. lol. I don't even know if there are any die-hard mariner fans. haha
