Changing my daughter's last name now that her father and I are married?

My husband and I were not married when we had our daughter so we had her last name hyphenated with both of our last names. Now that we are married I have taken his last name (I did not hyphenate my name) and I want to change her name so that it is only his last name as well. How would I do this in California? Do I have to get a court order or could I just do it showing proof of my name change?
